I have the magical privilege of being able to write this from my own home in Vancouver, Canada. I got to hear the news that I was a New York Times bestselling author with my husband at my side. In very Lucas/Peyton fashion - I’m just so grateful I got to have him as the person beside me when all my dreams came true.
I can never fully convey the depths that this means to me.
In previous newsletters, I described how competitive a time September/October is in the year of publishing. This book was up against the words of well-established authors, written by far bigger names than mine. It means so much that you chose to vault this book and this project, and me by extension, onto this hallowed list alongside some truly incredible people. It’s a testament to the community built here, one who believes in connectivity and kindness, that this has happened. And I am so so grateful.
New York Times
While I’m grateful to have landed anywhere on this list, not being #7 is admittedly nice. /joke
Toronto Star
In my home country of Canada, Taylor Swift Style comes in nationally at #2! The fact that my book is right there with Malcolm Gladwell, renowned Canadian journalist, is wild. The young, budding journalist who first started this blog would not believe me if I told her this was her life now.
Globe & Mail
Once again, just me and my bestest buddy Malcolm hanging out together on another national list in our home of Canada.
Barnes & Noble
Not only did Taylor Swift Style get placed as #7 on B&N’s bestselling non-fiction list, but they’ve also tapped it for one of their most giftable titles of the year. Couldn’t agree more! It’s going to be beautiful wrapped up in a bow this holiday season.
USA Today
This particular list is super wonderful to be included in because it combines both fiction and non-fiction together. What a thrill!
Indie
The one that has a special place in my heart, though? The Indie bestseller list. It was actually the first national bestseller news that hit my inbox. The first invisible string that set everything else in motion. This list tabulates sales in all independently-owned bookstores. The places that are cozy and that you might frequent to support a local, small business. It’s partially why almost all of my book tour stops have been at independents (there was one exception, the Brooklyn event at B&N).
I’d like it if you took a look at the number that Taylor Swift Style occupies on this list.
