Much requested, finally compiled. This only took a million years because I couldn’t find time to write it as I wasn’t in any given place for longer than 36 hours. Ah, life on the road. What a wild thing for me to be able to say.

One thing that I get asked often is where and how my style and Taylor’s converges. Namely:

  • What era of her fashion do I take most inspiration from?

  • How many Taylor exacts do I have in my closet exactly?

Not to borrow from the famed Intro To Click Bait seminar but … The answer may surprise you! Seriously!!

While there are absolutely moments that are copy + paste worthy for me from Taylor’s wardrobe over the years, and I also have a handful of exacts from her closet, I actually feel like - on the whole - that our styles are quite different. Taylor tends to veer towards the frilly, the frothy, and the girly. While I prefer a more, well, tailored (and less Taylor-ed *hah*) look ironically enough. If I had to pick a default uniform for us each to demonstrate our differences?

On Taylor: Cute top + fluffy mini skirt + platform heeled sandals.
On me: Blazer + tee + jeans + loafers.

However, given that Taylor Swift Style is all about a journey through the eras, it made sense to me to go through a journey of my own through the affiliated wardrobe choices for each tour date. I decided that I wanted to dress in my own, subtle take on some of the iconic fashion of each era and render it in a TSS-approved gree(eeeeeeee)n colourway. Natch. This was my nod to Taylor and her style, but done (Sarah’s Version) - if you will. A note that fashion is subjective and always up for loose, personal interpretations. This is what I decided I wanted to take away from each era, while still feeling some semblance of my most true DNA self in each ‘fit.

🎁 Gifting: I paid for nearly everything you will see below. Most pieces were either already existent in my wardrobe or that I bought with my own money. I did, however, have a very wonderful partnership opportunity come through with Larroudé — a brand Taylor herself has worn and loved. I will note their gifted items seen throughout with a *. Thank you for supporting the brands that support TSS!

🚶‍♀️Street Style: Expect a different instalment dedicated just to street style soon! x
