This is one of those posts for the delightfully nosy and curious (affectionate).
Call it an open chat just between friends. I thought as we have finally hit the halfway point of 2025 (how?!) it would be fun to break down the bestselling items of the year (so far). Despite having zero Virgo anywhere in my birth chart, I have a well-known love for a spreadsheet, a Venn diagram, a data point, etc. Much like when I pulled the curtain back on the book cover process, I hope this also provides insight into the fashion that piqued your interest and coveted.

I’ve decided to break down your Top 10 in two ways:
Highest clicks
Highest sales
There were somehow only two overlaps between these lists - a big surprise for me! (Psst: I’ve marked them with an * for your convenience.) Because of that, they paint two totally different pictures. One being the pieces TSSers were the most curious about vs the pieces TSSers actually ended up purchasing.
Let’s dive in.
10. Stella McCartney ‘Felpa Sweater’ from Jack Antonoff’s social media (x)
I was surprised to see this sweater pip into your Top 10. A part of me wonders if the reason was because many of you were curious to see what *exactly* was on this sweatshirt (a surf print replete with palm trees, in case you were wondering) given that Jack shared it in a blurry personal video that made details a little difficult to see. There’s also a certain kitschy / comedic factor that might have tickled people’s curiosity.

9. Little Lies ‘Rooms On Fire Slip’ from Jeslyn Gorman’s social media (x)
As above, I think this may be another instance of us all collectively doing the “pinch and zoom” or (if you’re like me) the “squint and lean in” to a computer monitor. One of Taylor’s backup singers shared some snaps from moments in between Eras Tour dates, reviving interest in a dress by the U.K.-based indie brand Little Lies that Taylor previously shared during Tortured Poets promotion in April 2024.
8. Dôen ‘Benoit Dress’ from May 29, 2025 (Out and about New York City)*
One of the two pieces that appear on both lists - and I can understand why. Not only was this dark floral midi simply beautiful, but it was also our first time seeing Taylor in a true New York street style moment post-Super Bowl.

7. Larkspur & Hawk ‘Olivia Button Earrings’ from multiple occasions
These eye-catching blue crystal earrings always get a lot of love whenever Taylor wears them and she’s worn them on a handful of occasions since they debuted in May 2021. Her most recent wear was attending a wedding in Nashville in early June that you all loved a *lot* (spoiler alert).

6. Gucci ‘Embroidered Mini Dress’ from 2025 Grammys after party
Similar to #1, since we only saw half of this fun party dress post-Grammys and because we never got high quality imagery, I suspect curiosity fuelled the clicks once again. I’m personally always a sucker for a bow.
5. Clare V ‘Moyen Messenger’ from My European Honeymoon*
I can’t quite express the honour of a personal item of mine being one of your most popular items of the year so far. I find I don’t often link to my own fashion pieces. (I think there’s a part of me that fears taking up space or injecting my own life into the conversation.) But I’m deeply humbled that you loved this bag as much as I did. It was the lifesaving piece of my honeymoon travels thanks to its roomy interior (includes a pocket), versatile strap options, and zip top that gave me peace of mind when walking around Europe.
4. Christy Dawn ‘The Nicks Dress’ from May 11, 2025 (Mother’s Day Brunch in Philadelphia)
I wasn’t terribly surprised to see this dress get tons of traction. This is from an instance where I personally opted to not circulate photos taken of Taylor as the images were taken during a clearly private moment. So the clicks to get a closer look of the dress make sense. It also doesn’t hurt that the brand, a longtime favorite for Taylor, prices its wares on the more accessible side of things. I’d guess many of you considered purchasing it for that alone!
3. Markarian ‘Rousseau Dress’ from June 6, 2025 (Nashville Wedding)
This outfit clearly proved to be particularly popular. The earrings Taylor accessorized with were also on your “most clicked” list, but the dress cracked the top three. She looked just beautiful in this soft blue floral number, didn’t she?
2. Simkhai ‘Mock Neck Mini Dress’ from February 7, 2025 (Out and about New Orleans)
When you think happiness, I know a lot of you are thinking of this little black dress. Taylor wore this lacy number while out to dinner in New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX. Taylor often turns to LBDs like this for dinners out and feels something of a signature for her that you guys loved.
1. Khaite ‘Shrunken Jo Cashmere Top’ from Swiftie Independence Day
Your #1! A part of me is really heartwarmed that such a momentous occasion in Taylor’s career resonated so deeply with this community. Fans emulate Taylor's style by purchasing her exact fashion pieces as a way to create another connection point to her life. Her music gives us a portal into her emotional world. Her clothes, naturally, do the same with the visual world her life encompasses. That so many of you clicked through to see how she chose to demarcate this moment says, to me, so much.
10. Sheertex ‘Modern Diamond Tights’ from multiple outings
Taylor’s hosiery (spoiler alert) often sells well. I imagine their popularity is directly due to their accessible price point and how functional they can be for many people’s styles. Case in point: Taylor has worn these particular tights on a number of occasions since 2023 and they’re only $35.
9. Amazon ‘Tassel Hoop Earrings’ from Frequently Asked Fridays
I was happy to see these earrings make the list. They’re another personal piece of mine (meep!) that I get asked about every time I wear them during TSS’ weekly question series on Instagram Stories.
8. Canada Goose ‘Leather Glove’ from January 18, 2025 (Chiefs vs Texans)
Some Chiefs game day outfit representation! I bet those of you who picked up these luxe tech gloves had very toasty hands all winter long.
7. Larroudé ‘Eleonor Bootie’ from February 7, 2025 (Out and about New Orleans)
This felt like a possible instance of conversion transference. Many of you loved this particular outfit, so much so that the dress from this outing was your second most clicked piece of the year. But while you may have clicked on her $895 Simkhai dress, many more of you swerved and purchased her $375 booties from Larroudé instead.
6. Clare V ‘Moyen Messenger’ from My European Honeymoon*
5. Dôen ‘Benoit Dress’ from May 29, 2025 (Out and about New York City)*
Your two overlap items back to back on the most purchased list.
4. Everlane ‘Phoebe Trouser’ from Taylor Swift Style book tour travel diary + Best Buys of 2024
I was shocked to see one of my own pairs of pants in your top five purchases. Particularly because these pants only made very brief appearances in two newsletter posts last year and never migrated to any other social platforms.
One of my goals of 2025 has been to put more concerted effort into growing this community here on the Liner Notes newsletter. I want Liner Notes to become a place for even longer form insights and commentary on Taylor and her fashion as well as a space for me to be a bit more vulnerable and personal. If you’ll permit me to be a bit sentimental, seeing so many of my own items show up in these analytics tells me that this content is finding the home it’s yearned for with all of you. I’m immensely grateful you’ve been there to find it.
(To reiterate - these pants are great. So much so that I own them in two colors. Awesome for work and a great alternative to those stuck in a jeans / trousers rut.) ((Oh and they’re on final sale, too.))
3. Reformation ‘Seren Top’ from June 20, 2025 (Out and about New York City)
I don’t think a list would be complete without something from one of Taylor’s favorite high street retailers - Reformation. Taylor has been wearing this L.A.-based brand, known for their sustainable practices and wearable feminine pieces, since 2013. This $168 bustier-style top from a recent outing in NYC just squeaked onto your purchases list.
2. Capezio ‘Ultra Shimmery Tights’ from Eras Tour
This is one of the items that came as no surprise to me given it’s consistently one of the top questions I get asked in my DMs and this particular pair of tights has been a bestseller every month for the last two years. For those who don’t know, Taylor doubled up on tights while performing on stage during both the reputation and Eras stadium tours (an old dancers trick).
First, Taylor puts on a shimmery sheer pair of tights for shine. Over top of those goes a nude payer fishnets on top for compression while performing. As a former dancer, I’ve worn Capezio nearly every time I’ve ever been on stage and their quality is worth it.
1. Lulu’s ‘Washed Black Denim Mini Dress’ from June 24, 2025 (TEU Concert)
A last minute slide into first place! I was pleased to see one of the items I pulled as a “look for less” option hit home for so many. With a very similar a-line shape in a dark denim wash at just $69USD this was a solid alternative to Taylor’s EB Denim dress which retailed for 7X that price.
Any surprises from this list? Anything you’ve clicked on or purchased?
Would love to hear!
I've owned several pairs of the Capezio tights and they're truly amazing quality. As a tights girl during spring and fall season they have been a life-saver.
Also one of the many TSSers who bought your hoop earrings, I wear them all the time!
I purchased the Phoebe trousers after you recced them and I love them! I am a fellow short girl so I did have to hem them (a very elaborate process for someone new but determined to seeing machines, and it ultimately ended up being for only half an inch!) and now they are the perfect length and I have work them to work a bunch!
